Back in the 80's Tomy
released a new toyline called ZOIDS. These were mechanical animals, mostly
dinosaurs, that could really walk. These incredibly detailed and engineered
wonders belong in my opinion to the best toys ever created (together with
transforming robots, but that's another story). The toys first had to be
build together, which gives a great insight in the working of the robot.
Unfortunately, these toys were too expensive for me when I was a kid, so
the only Zoid I used to own was a Stegazoid, which didn't survive my childhood.
Some time ago I found a Zoidzilla and later also a Mammoth and a Redhorn
at a fleamarket, which recaptured my interest in these toys. On this page
you can find lists of all off the Zoids ever released. Of the ones I own
I've made pictures, box scans and movies, which are linked to the toy lists.
