The scans on this page which were sent to me have been put here as is allowed under Dutch citaatrecht and the Fair Use doctrine for public discussion. They are of a book that is published by Scientology's Bridge Publication and copyrighted by Gene Chill and John Duff, former president of Narconon International, another Scientology entity .One would hope that organizations claiming to have a superior level of knowledge concerning drugs and the field of drug rehabilitation, would not make any dangerous statements. Sadly this is not true. While many regard cocaine as a highly addictive , if not the most powerful addictive drug, Scientology and former Narconon President John Duff flatly published nonsense that can - and perhaps has - cost lives.
Not only that, up and until this very day Scientology is accusing the psychiatric profession of what it itself is guilty!Cocaine and its derivatives, highly fashionable in the 1970s, are now widely abused, due in large part to claims by psychiatrists as recently as 1980 that cocaine usage was not addictive. They could not have been more deceptive.Quote from the website Drugs, Chemicals and Pollution: How can Scientology Help? The Purification Program .
So here we have a hypocritical cult accusing others of acts it allegedly did in 1980 while the same group does exactly the same a year later. It is also notable that the inventor of Scientology, L. Ron. Hubbard, was a drugs abuser himself and that John Duff credits him. Further it is kind of strange that on the one hand Scientology/Hubbard allege being against drugs but to this day sell books which tell that taking Benzedrine [amphetamine] could be beneficial.
