How To Overcome The Failing Job Market

Today s market place and employment prospects are far tougher than it has been in many years. Opportunities for employment simply don t exist in the manner that they once had. With employers seeking the younger prospects and a market place overwhelmed with folks who prior to losing their jobs, used to be able to easily produce an income of 65k to 125k are now excepting employment at a fraction of what their incomes were, many of them, by as much as 60 of their previous income. A recent online survey taken from Aug.15 through Aug. 31 2006 with a participation of 2123 respondents, shows just how little most know when it comes to positioning ones self for a perspective employer. 51.2 percent of those who responded to the survey put very little emphasis into the importance of writing a resume and cover letter and finding out exactly what works today, instead of what worked a few years ago. How To Survive As A Primary Caregiver

Otherwise we do harm to ourselves and everyone around us. Now, getting relief is more easily said than done. Sometimes there s just no alternative but to buck up under the load. However, even a small gesture can often be tremendously beneficial. One of these assists that meant a great deal to me was offered by my sister Laura when I was the primary caregiver for my 93-year-old father. Laura lived miles away and could not physically be there to help more than two or three times a year, but she allowed me to call her as often as I needed to and listened with a supportive ear to all my complaints. I referred to her then as my priest, my shrink and my rock. Having an outlet to vent your frustrations, fears and anger can help dissipate the feeling that you are alone on an island with the family member you are caring for. I had that feeling about my Dad many times, but then I would call Laura, and I felt better. As an artist, I found solace in my work, too, though often the caregiving interfered with my time to paint. When I could, however, I expressed my feelings through the painting process, turning pain into a visual statement...

What You Should Know About Stomach Gas Problems

Although the mention of stomach gas problems, such as belching, flatulence, bloating and gas pains often elicits some degree of amusement, all of us have gas in our intestinal tract and must expel it in some way. Some individuals are very sensitive to the effects of gas collections in the stomach and intestinal tract and may develop significant discomfort. If such complaints are troublesome and persistent and do not respond to simple measures, such as change in diet, a visit to your doctor could be helpful. The gas brought back by belching comes entirely from swallowed air. We all swallow some air when eating food and drinking liquids. Most of the gas mixes with the stomach content and either enters into the small intestine or is belched back. The air that enters the small intestine is either absorbed or it may continue through to the large intestine and is then passed rectally. Individuals may swallow more air and thus increase stomach gas if they have a post-nasal drip, chew gum, have poorly fitting dentures, suck on hard candies or smoke tobacco. Drinking carbonated beverages soda or beer or eating rapidly can also...
