Chinese oolong tea is in the first place a class as well as a kind of tea. It is one of the most famous teas in the world. According to many experts, the Chinese oolong tea is half way between green tea and black tea in a sense that it is half-fermented. It is as clear and fragrant as green tea and as refreshing and strong as black tea. As often said, if you drink oolong, the natural aroma may linger into your mouth and make your throat much comfortable. The name of oolong is said to be an enigma to Chinese tea history. Nobody knows if it is named after a place or any variety of the plant. And, although the pinyin for oolong is Wu Long , which means black dragon, nobody can tell if the name oolong has any relation with dragon , which traditionally taken as the Chinese lucky indication. We often find it painfully difficult to do because it makes us feel vulnerable, weak or ashamed; and so our fears of rejection and embarrassment get in the way. In reality, the only real weakness is NOT asking for help. The smartest people I know understand that they do not know everything, and seek to fill those gaps in their knowledge or ability with people who do. Life is about learning and growth and in the process, we all need help from time to time along the tricky patches. Antioxidants are a class of nutrients that protect the body from damage caused by different factors, most importantly oxidative damage caused by substances called free radicals. Free radicals are known as reactive oxygen species , or ROS. They are produced when your body uses oxygen for energy. Just as fire emits smoke as a by-product, ROS are emitted from the conversion of oxygen to energy in the human body, eventually causing oxidative damage to body systems. Free radicals are also created when the body is exposed to pollution, cigarette smoke, car exhaust and other harmful environmental toxins. There are different types of antioxidants, and most work better when paired with other antioxidants. This is called synergism. Vitamins can be antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E. The tripeptide glutathione, loosely classified as an amino acid, acts as an antioxidant, along with other true amino acids such as methionine. The raw herbs and vegetables we consume contain natural antioxidants called bioflavonoids and carotenoids, which...

Somehow the youthful notion of live fast, die young. becomes less appealing as the days go by. Funny that, isn t it. I remember the day well, it all started in May 1997 with a routine or so I thought Doctors appointment in the morning and then the usual rounds of trying to keep clients and staff happy. It was the day of my thirty ninth birthday and so I was looking forward to the celebratory dinner engagement later that evening. I had been feeling slightly run down , a euphemism here for exhausted but had put it down to slightly busy times in the office and so had finally relented to my wife s pleas to go and see the Doc and get everything checked out . Upon my return to the office in mid afternoon, I received a message from one of my colleagues your doctor called and you are to call him back straight away . Ah, get the multivitamins ready and get ready to cut back on the alcohol time I thought but alas not so. I m fine but you re not. I have a hospital bed set aside he gave me the details of the hospital in question and you are...
