Hello to all !!
Let me introduce myself, my name is Roberto and i was born in the year 1977 in the city Breda. My QTH is in the south part of The Netherlands (PA-PI) about 100km from the capital Amsterdam and about 20km of the border of Belgium (ON-OT). I lived here all my life and i still enjoying it.
I start my hobby of playing with a radio whan i was 12 years old. My first radio was a old Skyline SM-2010 22ch 1watt (my father turned it from a 0,5W to 1W hahahahhaha) CB radio and my antenna was a 1/4 wave indoor boomerang ant. on my attic. So after a while my parents saw that i really was enjoying this hobby so they decided to give me a 40ch 4watt CB radio (Premier cb2000) and a 1/2 wave GPA base antenna.
I was so happy about it because for the first time i could talk outside my city, so a whole new WORLD went open for me.
And the years that followed i also discoverd SSB radio and this was really great because for the first time i could not even listen outside my city but also out of my own country. So whan that happend i understood with the right equipment and propagation i could listen all over the world. With my SWL-CALL NL-12995 i have also some nice QSL's cnf from ham operators.
So after a copple of years of SWL-ing, i tried 1 year ago to get my NOVICE license because listening is nice but speaking would also be nice (i think). So i start learning and after 4 months of studying i had my exam in november 2005 and unfortunally i failed the test with 1 fault to many so you understand i was verry disappointed about it . But after greeving about it (hahahhaha) i start all over again and this time i studied extra hard and that resulted that in april 2006 i finally pass the exam. So you can imagine i was and still are verry happy with it . But thats not all, now my next project is to get my full license and lets hope that i will succeed in that, so please wish me luck .... !!!!
Thank you for reading my little story and lets have fun on the AIRWAVES !!!!!!!!
