101 airborne paratrooper entering Eindhoven on Sept.18, 1944 on a spot called "Woenselse overweg". He was dropped in Son (North of Eindhoven) How many hands will he have been shaken on his 'journey' to Eindhoven?

Deze paratrooper van de 101ste komt hier de spoorweg over (de Woenselseoverweg) Hij was gedropt in Son enkele kilometers ten noorden van Eindhoven. Hoeveel handen zou hij ondertussen al hebben geschud?

For the events in France on June 6th Theo Staal made T-shirts with this picture on it. They were very nice. Eventually they were all given away as souvenirs.

Voor de reunie van Easy compagnie in juni 2001 liet Theo Staal deze T-shirts maken met daarop de eerste bevrijdingsfoto van Eindhoven. Elke veteraan kreeg er een als souvenir.

This is the charter, made by the Eindhoven Mayor Verdijk to remember the Eindhoven liberation.

Dit is de oorkonde die werd gemaakt door burgemeester Verdijk om de bevrijding van Eindhoven te herdenken.

Translation:

"The fetters are broken. Eindhoven is breathing again in a more free atmosphere. Death and decomposing were brought to the defenseless but unbroken is the strength of the Dutch tribe. For rebuilding counts: were there's a will, there's a way.

The only road that leads us to true peace, to true freedom and to true prosperity for all is embedded in unity in the lack of freedom"
